Day 1: Fes to Merzouga

The mornoing, we start this 3-day trip from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou. The first day of this desert trip – Morocco adventure tours packages links the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco Fes to the Merzouga famous for the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Ifrane- Azrou

We will pass via Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its European-style architecture and beautiful gardens. We will make a stop for coffee break. Then we continue the path to arrive at Azrou. We will visit the cedar forests of Azrou to see the Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

Lunch break

After that we continue to reach Midelt. This city is located between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. And known as the capital of apples in Morocco. We will make a stop for a delicious lunch in Midelt. Then we drive through the scenic Ziz Valley with its stunning palm groves and ancient kasbahs.

Upon arrival to Merzouga, camel ride to access to sahara desert camp. On the way, we make a stop to enjoy the special sunset from the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and you will spend the night in a Berber tent under the sky full of stars.

Day 2: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

We wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes. And after Enjoying breakfast at the camp, camel trekking back to Merzouga. Then we continue the activity of second day of this 3-day trip Morocco adventure tours. We will pass via the town of Rissani, known for its traditional “Souk” (market) and historical significance that we will visit. Then we continue our path to Todra Gorges, a stunning canyon with towering cliffs.

When arriving, we will take a walk along the river and enjoy lunch in the gorges. After lunch break, we will drive through the Dades Valley, famous for its beautiful rock formations and kasbahs. Then we will continue to reach  Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara” and also “The Hollywood of Africa” thanks to its cinema studios. We spend this night in the hotel with dinner.

Day 3: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

The morning after breakfast, we start the activity of the last trip of this Morocco travel packages. We will visit the Atlas cinema studios then we take the road direction to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. A fortified village (ksar) that has served as a backdrop for many famous films.

Enjoy the panoramic views on the way

After the visit of Ait Benhaddou kasbah, we drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stunning views and picturesque Berber villages along the way.

We make a stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the High Atlas region.
